7 Hottest Home Trends of 2022
By Debby Calleja
If you’re looking for the latest trends to incorporate into your home this year, look no further!
Every year there are trends and different designs for different rooms of the house but this year we definitely have designs that are proving to be Instagram-worthy looks that can be easily replicated throughout your home.
The top trends of this year are a combination of some old styles making a comeback, timeless classics holding their fort and some modern twists that blend in with neutral styles.
With all this variety you are sure to have a home that is on point and will remain stylish for some years to come.

Let’s have a look at some of these trends in more detail:

Vintage Revival

The rule of thumb when it comes to reviving vintage objects is to always skip a generation or two, so you can take something that was all in the 80s and mix it with something that is in now and voila’ you have an awesome piece that is timeless but modern which will create a warm environment in your home. Warmer colours like rust, dark yellow, and browns also have a great vintage effect so these are a must if you want to add that touch of vintage look to your home.

Neutral Earthy Tones

Earthy tones are here to bring warmth and comfort to your home giving it an inviting feel. They are also a great way to add to your modern interior design. These colours are inspired by the outdoors, and they come in various shades like browns, beige, mints, pinks and murky mustards.

Styled Curves

Curves have always been around in the design world, but it has become somewhat of a statement in recent times. Whilst in modern décor we see a lot of straight lines and edges it is refreshing to see some curves making their way into our homes. Curves can be added in a variety of ways, from permanent features like arches to an easy addition to your homes like accessories, lighting, and furniture items.

Shades of Green

Green has to be one of the trendiest colours in home décor in 2022. With the variety of hues and endless options of how this colour can be incorporated into the house, it’s no wonder why it has become so appealing. You can use green on your walls, furniture or by adding bold accessories around the house.

Statement Lights

Lighting pieces can be used for various reasons. Having a statement lighting fixture can be used as a piece of artwork or sculpture or it can be used to make a dramatic effect in a more subtle room. Light pieces can be added anywhere around the house or maybe you want to use them as a special feature in one of your favourite rooms.

Black Accents

Black is a bold colour which can add a dramatic statement to your home. Using black accent pieces can make your space feel more toned down and relaxed especially when used in contrast to a neutral space. It helps create a nice focus and highlights architectural details.

Art Deco

Art Deco was created in the 1920s and this style reflects optimism, luxury, and excess fabulousness. It’s all about big, bold, geometric shapes and lots of contrast. If you like a space that exerts luxury and contrast by using saturated colours, then this trend is for you!
